Each fall, Boulder’s
picturesque downtown and scenic Flatirons
are seemingly ablaze with yellows, oranges, and reds from the changing leaves.
As summer turns to fall, Boulderites take the opportunity to hang outside,
soaking up the last of the sunny afternoons and getting a taste of the crisp
evenings to come. Join the community at Boulder’s 32nd
annual Fall Festival to celebrate the arrival of autumn. Here’s what you need
to know about this highly anticipated event.
What to Expect
This three-day festival features delicious eats, refreshing
drinks, and entertainment, including live music and the Firefly Handmade
Markets’ show. Local bands like Funkiphino,
The Goonies, The Lucas Wolf Trio, and
others will play music from a variety of genres such as New Orleans jazz,
Bluegrass, Reggae, and more.
Children’s activities are aplenty and offer engaging, fun
opportunities for the little ones to create unique arts and crafts. In
addition, over 100 artisans will showcase their handmade items at the Firefly Handmade Markets’
show. Spend the afternoon dancing and singing along to lively tunes with family
and friends or browsing a variety of local, home-made goods throughout our
beautiful downtown.
Food and Beverage
Avery Brewing Co.,
based in Gunbarrel, will be pouring up some of its best loved brews along with
new fall-focused additions. Avery is one of Boulder’s most well-known and
celebrated breweries and it always offers something for beer lovers of all
palate preferences. Visit the spacious beer garden for a taste of these local
craft brews, tart margaritas, or crisp wines.
Boulder
Bowls, Fast
Eddie’s Hot Dogs, and Falafel King
will be serving up their most popular menu items to accompany the
thirst-quenching beverages. Munch on a healthy veggie bowl or fuel up with a
hearty falafel pita, dipped in lovingly made, authentic hummus. You’ll find these
tasty plates and delicious drinks along the 1300 block of Pearl.
Firefly Handmade Market
This curated, handmade-only, indie
market will feature original goods, such as clothing, ceramic pottery, home
décor, fine art, artisan crafts, jewelry, pet items, homemade food, personal
care products, and more. Find beautiful gifts, original art, or authentic,
sustainable clothing and feel good about supporting the local artist community
during Boulder’s Fall Festival.
