Not feeling up to visiting your favorite
restaurant during these unusual times? If you’re on the search for great
cuisine without having to congregate indoors, stop by one of Boulder’s
abundance of food trucks for a delicious and mobile meal. Here, we share our
favorite food trucks that are easy to access from your
apartment complex.
Where to Find Food Trucks in Boulder
Luckily, there’s no shortage of locations to
enjoy food truck fare in our city. Popular destinations for food trucks to park
include The Rayback Collective, East
Boulder’s Flatiron Park, Boulder Farmers Markets,
Gunbarrel Brewing Company, and
more. Now that you know where to go to pick up a to-go meal, here are a few of
our recommendations:
Grey Duck Eats
Looking to try more adventurous lunch options?
Grey Duck Eats frequents The Rayback
Collective and specializes in bringing Nordic-inspired open-faced sandwiches to
Boulder. These ultra-portable sandwiches are packed with fresh,
locally-produced ingredients, such as microgreens and pickled veggies.
The Bamboo Skewer
The Bamboo
Skewer makes the rounds between Boulder and Denver
to offer Japanese-inspired grilled skewers (yakitori).
Fire-grilled proteins such as chicken, teriyaki meatballs, and juicy sirloin
steak serve as the base of these skewers, which are topped with yakitori barbecue sauce. Sides include
panko-crusted onion rings and wasabi crunchy slaw. Vegetarian options are also
available!
It’s All Greek to Me
It’s All Greek to Me serves
up traditional gyros, specialty pitas, and bowls around Boulder. “The Zeus” is
a fan-favorite: this super-sized meal contains gyro meat or chicken souvlaki
and is layered with French fries, fresh veggies, feta, and tzatziki sauce on
fresh pita bread. To complement your meal, try the hummus and pita plate, fresh
falafel, or loaded French fries.
Los Dos Bros
Craving authentic Mexican food? Stop by Los
Dos Bros for at one of their two main locations. This
food truck offers a host of menu items, including burritos, tamales,
enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, and more. This food truck is owned and operated
by the Martinez brothers, who grew up in rural Mexico and have spent more than
16 years honing their craft within the restaurant industry.
Boulder is home to an abundance of excellent
restaurants, and food trucks are an important part of our local food culture.
If you’re looking forward to exploring the best food trucks in town, you’ll
love the convenience that our apartment complex offers. Located in Gunbarrel,
we’re just minutes away from downtown Boulder and the selection of food and
entertainment you’ll find there. Our quiet campus is home to ample green space
that’s perfect for daily walks with your furry friend. Interested in arranging
