Band on the Bricks & Tebo Train Rides for Kids

It’s hard to go wrong with spending summer days on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado. The pedestrian mall comes to life as the weather warms up, making it easy to stroll through the shops and enjoy lunch on a patio at one of the many restaurants along the brick path. Even if shopping and dining aren’t on the agenda for the day, downtown Boulder keeps things lively with a packed event schedule, ranging from art shows and cultural fairs to live music and children’s activities. Band on the Bricks and the Summer Tebo Train are beloved summertime traditions on the Pearl Street Mall.

Tebo Train Rides on Pearl Street

When kids aren’t running through the Pop Jet Fountain or exploring the climbable sculptures, they can catch a free ride on the Pearl Street Mall’s Summer Tebo Train. The 100% electric train rides begin at the corner of 13th and Pearl at 9:30 am every weekday until September 2, with the last train ride of the day leaving the station at 11 am. The train is operated by Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives, a local nonprofit with a vision for a more vibrant, inclusive community. Any tips or donations made to the train conductor go directly to keeping the free train running.
